Hartenberg Wine Estate Shiraz

In 1968, Hartenberg became the first producer to bottle Shiraz in South Africa. Inspired by a visit to the Rhône Valley, Eleanor Finlayson established a block of Shiraz on the farm, and that block marked the beginning of a legacy that now spans over five decades.

Hand-harvested from multiple blocks to gain balance, complexity and a true expression on the Hartenberg estate. 18 months in 30% new French Oak. Medium - full body with lovely integrated tannins - Touch of leather & sage, and an abundance of blackberries and mulberry notes.
