Familia Castaño Organic Monastrell

Familia Castaño has dedicated it's production to Monstrell - The native variety of Yecla, Murcia. With small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Macabeao, Chardonnay etc - 80% of their 600 hectares is Monastrell. 

This Organic Monastrell is a fab example of a great value wine for early consumption. Spicy and concentrated fruit, yet not lackingin elegance. Grown at 500-700m altitude allowing them to grow organically.

Ripe cherry & plum, liquorice and a touch of spice on the finish.
