Bressan, Schioppettino, Friuli 2018

Ninth-generation estate, now under the control of Fulvio Bressan in Friuli Venezie Giulia IGT. He is a force to be reckoned with and has continued the Bressan ethos and methodology, producing big, complex and unique wines very different from his neighbours.

Schioppettino is a grape known for its peppery character, which is prominent in this wine derived from vines around 120 years old, all untouched by any chemicals. 30 day fermentation on skins, 48 months in oak and chestnut cask followed by a further maturation period in stainless steel. A wine everyone must try and experience the Bressan way.
