Birichino, Little Big Block Vineyard, Old Vines Carignane

Based in Santa Cruz, Birichino is the creation of two friends who met working at Bonny Doons vineyard. The focus of this 'new wave' Californian style, is delicate extraction, lower ABV and fruit expression. The Little Big Block Vineyard was planted as bush vines back in 1895 on the edge of San Joaquin River.

This unfiltered old vine carignan is aged over 10 months in neutral French Oak. Only five barrels have been made.
